By arrangement I called to see Mr. Jones on Wednesday 5th May 2003 at 5:30p.m. I checked through the Inventory. The only alteration he has made is to fix a white plastic shelf and a white plastic round mirror over the basin in the bathroom.
POSSIBLE PROBLEMS IDENTIFIED
The cat has scratched the wallpaper badly to the LHS of the kitchen door. I pointed out this damage and Mr. Jones assured me that he already has some matching paper to make good.
PROBLEMS IDENTIFIED BY TENANT
Mr. Jones is concerned that despite contacts; the following items give cause for concern.
- The Lounge radiator does not heat up – at all.
- Bedroom 1 – the radiator is half hot/half cold
ITEMS TO NOTE
For information, MrJones has a new telephone number - 01626 xxxxxxx
SUMMARY
He would appear to be a very conscientious tenant.
The property is neat and tidy. The front garden is neat, tidy and is being looked after. The back is paved as per the inventory.
He would like to replace a couple of pairs of curtains (I advised that if he did replace, he should keep the current items in good condition, to re-instate, on leaving the property)
He also expressed an interest in replacing the lounge carpet, purely from an aesthetic viewpoint, no problems with the existing floor covering. (I advised that nothing should be done without written consent from the Landlord and that any subsequent replacement should be as good, or better, than that already there).
